Photographer: Julie Adams
Having first picked up a camera when she was just 13-years-old, Julie Adams is now one of Australia’s leading fashion and portraiture photographers. She studied photography in Florence and her career has taken her all over the world from Africa to Italy. Adams spent many years working in New York and London before returning to Australia with her family.
Back in 2009, Adams held her first portrait exhibition ‘The Beauty of Italian Women’, inspired by her love of Italy. Adams went on to then launch on-line magazine ‘An Affair with Italy’ whilst at the same time playing a key creative role as founding photographer on ‘The Grace Tales’.
In 2019, Adams exhibited ‘Beach Series’ - a series of work inspired by her move back to Australia and the allure of the quintessential Australian Summer. 2019 has also seen Adams co-author her first book ‘Grace Mothers - letters to our children’. followed by her second book ‘This is Me’ launched March 3rd, 2020.
